Hello new guy here,

	I just installed the Cessna 172SP G1000 and it says it installed successfully, but when I go to select the aircraft from the menu it just sits with the loading icon on the mouse spinning and when I go to the task manager, it says not responding. It just will not load and crashes the game every time. Another strange thing about it is that it loads just fine with the details selection, but will not load when I actually select and say ok. I have tried reinstalling, but no luck. I even added it to my anti-virus exceptions too. Anyone know what is going on?

 The Carenado G1000 in the C172SP Skyhawk appears to have been developed for use in one of their 'high performance' aircraft. This collection of files will adjust the appearance of the PFD and MFD to better match the screens as seen in the Cessna Skyhawk. The changes work in both SVS and non-SVS modes.

 There are two corrected faults. The Vertical Speed scale is changed from plus/minus 4000 feet to plus/minus 2000 feet and the GPS CDI (the magenta line) course indicates properly on the PFD.

	Some of the visual changes:

	1. Solid (non-banded) blue and brown PFD background. Horizon position adjusted.
2. Removed the Speed Selector box above the airspeed tape.
3. Brown hash-marked segment removed from the Altitude tape and replaced with 'clear'.
4. Altitude tape lightened.
5. 'DME' removed, 'ALERTS' added on the PFD softkeys bar.
6. Corrected titles (GLIDE, Vx, Vy) in the TMR/REF box.
7. Where possible, green and magenta colours were 'standardized' across the PFD and MFD.
And
8. A Cessna logo is added to the yoke.
9. The blue colour is revised in the Standby Attitude Indicator - for day and night.

	Send a PM [private message] with an e-mail address to get the package. This was tested in FSX. Feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.

	Hi all,

	I don’t normally write compliment forms but this aircraft has done enough for me to write one.

	I am glad I got it on sale because besides the visuals it seems wrong on a few levels.

	First one is the CAS messages on the screens, they don’t work or make any sense including the traffic one being in the wrong spot.

	Second is the main battery and standby battery AMP readings, they are wrong and don’t work as a real aircraft would.

	The autopilot doesn’t seem to work in ALT mode and I can’t load a flight plan from keying a destination in.

	the last thing is the display backup or revision button, the screens don’t change just the engine gauges which is wrong.

	Is there a mod that has been done on this aircraft to fix these problems? Or is it just another Carenado look good plane?

	Any solution to this problem ?

	I have a graphics problem on the Cessna 172 G1000.

	On the PFD, in the mini map (insert), I can see the name of the airports in text.

	In the MFD, no name (airport or beacon) is visible: the text does not exist ???

	My simulator is Prepar3D.

	Thanks for help

	Can someone please give some direction as to setting up a simple flight plan using the G1000. Running FSX (boxed) on a Win10 machine. I have read through the C172SP manual regarding flight plan. Its simply not working. They say you can use your own computer keyboard to input data. That does not work for starters. My flight plan is from KTVL (Lake Tahoe) to KMRY (Monterey, Ca.). I select FPL. I click on the inner knob to activate the cursor. I enter KTVL as starting point. When I begin to select other waypoints it jumps from "Destination Waypoint" to "Starting Waypoint". Im able to get 1 or two waypoints in then it kicks me out and tells me to select a "Starting Waypoint" again. Im wondering if I should delete these Carenado AC and reinstall again. Mr. Pieke sent instructions, I followed them to the letter and the G1000 flight planner is not working per any procedure. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciate. Otherwise I'm stuck here Lake Tahoe and it's getting freakin expensive here. Thanks

	I am requesting an updated G1000 tutorial either via YouTube or written file regarding the G1000 for the C172SP. I have watched YouTube videos and read tutorials until I'm green. Still having problems inputting a simple flight plan. I own probably 8 Carenado aircraft and I don't think I will purchase another until they can come up with a decent "How To_______" fill in the blank. I must admit I got sucked in by the very nice modeling of their aircraft BUT it's a common gripe, their documentation has a great deal to be desired. I am learning the hard way that a G1000 in a Carenado C172SP is different then a G1000 in a Carenado TBM 850. The C172SP does not have the keypad or AP keypad that the TBM 850 has. Any help regarding a YouTube G1000 tutorial or written tutorial for inputting a simple flight plan into the C172SP will greatly help in keeping my blood pressure within normal limits. Thank you

	Using the above aircraft on a Win10 machine, flying FSX (b0xed) w/all add updates. Trying to program a flight plan using G1000. Is there a keypad OR do you use a computer keyboard for input data? The reason Im asking is, I have hit Shift 1-0 no keypad or AP pop ups. I tried using my computer keyboard for inputs but that does not work. Was trying to program a flight from KTVL (Lake Tahoe) to KMRY (Monterey). I tried using the scroll wheel but it does not pick up the Arrival Airport KMRY. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have noticed on other Carenado aircraft, using the G1000, there is a pop up keypad and Autopilot for easy input. Does not appear that way for the C172SP G1000. Thanks for any help.

The Carenado C172 was uninstalled then reinstall to no avail. If I use Ctrl + E the engine will start. If I move the fuel selector from the default position to Left or Right tank it will start. If I move the fuel selector from the default position to left or right tank and back to Both, it will start. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the C172 but that too did not work. There are no fuel management add-ons. I believe this glitch started when I updated from P3D v4.2 to v4.3? Basically, the engine will not start in the Both Tanks position. Carenado could not help.

	Hi everyone,

	I'm using the Noble Flight Sim G1000 Panel, and was wondering if there is any way I can set it up to work with Carenado's G1000? I.e. the HDG bug on my panel controls the HDG bug in the sim.

	I’m using Carenado’s C172 with the G1000 glass cockpit and Prepar3d v4.2.

	I fly this plane in real life, so I know what the performance is supposed to be like according to the Vref numbers. The Carenado version isn’t close, so there must be something wrong.

	Im not talking about computer frame rates, but aircraft performance. It seems better on the ground than airborne. The takeoff roll is accurate and reaches Vr (55kts) easily. I rotate and shoot for Vy (75kts), but I don’t get anywhere near that speed or angle. I’m lucky to get 60kts and climb 100fpm. It never gets better until I’m high enough to decend and finally get some airspeed

	To eliminate software/hardware issues, I few A2A’s C172 and Carenado’s Barron G1000 in the same flight scenario by simply changing ‘vehicles’ in flight. The other planes perform as expected.

	Im hoping someone has had a similar problem and can offer some advice

	Thanks in advance.

	If anyone is having issues with this aircraft in P3D V4 ... as in a CTD, edit your DLL.XML files and disable WebSimXML.dll ... example:

 <Launch.Addon>
<Name>WebSimXML</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<Path>.\WebSimBrowser\2.1\64\WebSimXML.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

	This entry gets added when installing the Carenado C172P. When I can make some time I'll register a formal support ticket, but for now this work around allows me to fly the aircraft with nice G1000s.

	In addition (but unrelated to CTD) you make find duplicate entries in both DLL.XML for the following:

 <Launch.Addon>
<Name>CMeteoXml</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>.\CMeteoXml.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

 <Launch.Addon>
<Name>Carenavigraph</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>.\Carenavigraph.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

	Remove the duplicates from one of the DDL.XML files.

	Cheers, Rob.

	I am so disappointed that the Carenado 172SP doesn't have a autopilot. Who would put a G1000 in their 172 and then leave out a autopilot to use the functions of the G1000. I know you cane use keyboard commands but that isn't realistic and takes away from the realism. Has anyone installed a autopilot into the Carenado 172SP. I don't know what Carenado was thinking when they left out the autopilot. Please email me how you did it.

	Thanks

	I picked up this aircraft last night just to check out it's "Synthetic Vision" capabilities in P3D 3.4, I am far from impressed. I haven't installed P3D v4 yet as I'm in the process of getting rid of older mechanical drives in favor of all SSD's, however, my system is more than capable of maintaining 40fps in the PMDG 777 while approaching FSDT's KORD with scenery settings pretty much maxed out. Does anyone know what could be causing the worst performance I've ever seen in any FSX/P3D aircraft? Is the coding that bad on this product?

I played with the settings in the config tool and it helped slightly, but at the same time only by 1 to 3 FPS. I purchased this aircraft over at PC Aviator, is anyone here aware whether or not in any way I could get a refund or in the very least some kind of credit? I own every Alabeo and Carenado aircraft that uses analogue gauges, I have always stayed FAR away from their glass panels in the past because I knew the performance and coding is quite poor, but to average 15 to 20 FPS flying around PAVD with an i7 7700K running at 5.2ghz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW 3, 32GB DDR4 3400Mhz Mem on a Samsung Evo Pro SSD is absolutely horrendous. :(

	I was hoping to get feedback on this new release.

	I'd like to ask the mods to please leave this topic here for a few days before it's moved.

	Most simmers gravitate to this forum.

	Thx
