I have P3dV4 and Honeycomb yoke. The rudder trim on my Alabeo M20r Ovation is not working. I use the mouse to activate the trim switch and nothing happens. I set up a trim switch on my Honeycomb and nothing happens, the indicator does not change. I can manage a take off most of the time but it is really squirrely. I usually go down the runway in a S pattern.

	Hi,

Is anyone else having problems with autopilot ILS appraoch? I've only done 2 flights so far, but both times the autopilot did not follow the approach course or glideslope. This with the GPS off and both Nav coms set to the ILS approach frequency, and both times I was on the glide path well before the glideslope intercept. (Rwy 5 at KRDU and Rwy 24L at Kday).

	Hi Everyone,

I might be overlooking something and I admit I just purchased this aircraft, but this is bugging me greatly. So, the problem is when I try to tune an NDB frequency with the ADF tuner knob, I can dial the ones and the hundreds digits just fine. If I click on the button, I can even dial the tenths digits. But whatever I do, I just cannot dial the tens digits of the desired frequency. 😞 I purchased this aircraft because we are doing an around the world tour with my friend and we'd like to do it without GPS, just radio nav, but if I can't tune in NDB frequencies, that would be bad... Anyone can offer any wisdom here?

	Hello Mooney pilots,

bought recently the M20 Ovation and have serious problems with keeping the aircraft straight on taxiway or runway. I am aware of p-factor, propwash and torque of the engine etc. At low speeds situation is somewhat manageable, but at higher speed during the takeoff run it is almost uncontrollable: the aircraft veers to the left (caused by p-factor etc.) then I apply right rudder: no reaction, the a/c still veers leftwards, applying more right rudder, again no reaction, more right rudder then suddenly the aircraft turns VERY sharply to the right, then kicking fully down the left pedal has absolutely no effect, the aircraft goes wildly the right only after a while the aircraft starts to turn back. It looks like that there is a (too long) time lag between a control input and the reaction of the flight model. First I thought, that the null zone of the rudder is the culprit, but narrowing the null zone to 5, showed no effect. And yes, of course I have calibrated all control axes. My questions to you Mooney pilots are:

1 Did you experience the same behavior?

	2. Did I miss a particular setting? ( I am with P3D v4.4)

Experiences and comments are highly appreciated - thank you,

I have version 1.1 of the Mooney. A few days ago the SPAD/Saitek gear lever would not raise or lower the gear, and using the mouse on the cockpit lever, while it moved gear up and gear down, it did not actually move the landing gear at all. When the lever is in the up position, the gear is still down.

Purchased this M20 for it's range and speed to economy index. So today I planned and started a four hour flight from Maryland to Indiana, USA. About two hours into the flight, at 8,000 and an OAT of -5C, I noticed my M20 was showing decreased ground speed on the GTN 750. IAS confirmed the loss of speed. I immediately confirmed that I had Pitot Heat set to On. Then I started scrambling. IAS continued to decline, and my GTN GS slowed to as low as 69 knots. I could not determine what was amiss. Looking below the ground everything seemed to be moving at a normal pace. Chase plane view showed the M20 in a normal attitude for cruise speed. With the indicated speeds at the time the M20 should have had a significant nose up attitude and should have been at stall speed. It did not meet either of those characteristics. ?????

I switched FSX to the Milviz C310 and caught up by loading my flight plan back into the GTN. The C310 gained back to a normal cruise speed. So at that point I reloaded the M20 and it too maintained a normal cruise speed at the top of its cruise range in IAS. Everything stayed normal for about an hour, then the speed bleed occurred again. This time it bled down to about 110 knots GS, then it was time to descend from 6,000 to 3,000 for initial approach altitude. After entering descent the M20 came back up to a more normal speed and maintained it through the duration of the flight.

Has anyone else experienced an unexplained decrease in IAS and GS well into a long flight, say two hours or more in? Really perplexed.

Upon landing in this bird I basically don't have any rudder authority, even on final actually, with AP off. Anyone else notice this? It's like a bug where this is a hidden YD engaged (which usually happens in their larger planes, but you can disengage the YD with a button). There is no button YD on the AP in the mooney.

	Hi All!

Still having a blast with the Mooney. Decided to take it a bit further and made a custom checklist for those Mooney pilots that have the GTN750 installed. It's based off of a real world checklist I found here.

You can find the Dropbox download link here! Simply download, and place in to your Alabeo Mooney M20R home directory (C:\...\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\Alabeo M20R_Ovation)

Bonus: Video from my final approach in to KTEX using FlyInside FSX. Not the best landing but the video looked like a real life Go Pro recording so I wanted to share.

I have only had a 30min flight on this awesome aircraft but I believe that there is NO decimals in RPM and MANIFOLD. On the real aircraft there is. I flew in up till 2004 and 24.3 manifold with 2450 rpm matters?? maybe I am missing a click spot. To set cruise with options visible at 2300, 2400, 2500 rpm and manifold?? and the rest guess work?? When it says idle at 700 or 800 rpm and it only shows 7 or 8, I THINK?? something important got left out. On analog RPM and MANIFOLD qauges you do NOT ignore from 2000, "2010,2020,2030,2040,2050,2060,2070,2080,2090" till you get to 2100 . Thanks for return input, Keith.. My Birthday is today. I called PC Aviator and asked if they could get this aircraft, which usually is a 2 week wait, but I had my $5 discount ending 9-1-17. Thanks PC Aviator. I have had the Carenado older mooney with the ORBX HD free upgrade they had years ago and flew it often as its FDE was done by Bernt Stolle and frame rates are off the chart.

In the Texture.Common folder there are some textures that have a blank in their names.

Look at INT1 _BUMP and INT1_bump as an example, similar in the INT2 names..

Is this sloppiness or is there something "clever" at work?

Edit: these names are also referenced in the model files, so I guess it is deliberate.. but why we need an uncompressed 65 MB bump texture, is beyond me.. I have added .off to its name - just as a matter of principle..

I was going to write about this when it first came out but did not and do not know why. Just bought the Saratoga on 40% off sale and noticed it did the same thing. Only Com1 or Com 2 on the Audio works at a time. I like to sometimes use Com 1/2 so the ATIS can be listened to while monitoring traffic on Com 1. Came up with this idea and it works. I noticed on the PA31 350Chieftain that it works proper so I copied and pasted to Panel.cfg. Of course you have to own the Chieftain but any functioning Audio in an Alabeo or maybe even a Carenado aircraft will do. I will show the Chieftain in this example.

Ok I just bought this nice plane and was taking it for a test spin and the lateral deviation bar will not deflect from the course direction arrow. When I add a waypoint destination in the GTN flight planner, the course arrow points right to the DTK in the GTN, but the no NAV red flag stays on in the HSI and the deviation bar never deflects from the course arrow as I fly away from the course. Funny thing this also happens in the P3D version of Alabeo Seminole. What is stranger is that I installed the M20R in FX-SE and the lateral deviation works perfectly...for default GPS and GTN. If anyone has any suggestions to try would appreciate it.

Doing some trouble shooting I installed the Alabeo Cessna 401 and before installing the GTN 750 it flew with the default GPS and the HSI lateral deviation worked. I then installed the GTN 750 in the plane and lateral deviation stopped working. Also, the A2A cessna is the same...works with default GPS and does not work with GTN 750. I uninstalled/reinstalled the GTN but still the same...so I don't know. Tired of fiddling with this sim and will go fly X-Plane a while.

This is with a clean install of P3D version 4.1. As for the GTN I installed using the wrapper installed from flight1 today, but in the update tool the latest version says 1.11 and latest supported Prepared3D is 3.4.9. So I don't know what the frack is going on.

Problem is resolved. Just kept re-installing the GTN 750 and lat dev now works. No clue what the problem was. Now off to fly the Mooney!

	Hello,
i tested the new Ovation to get more familiar with it and what can i say!? I do not like it yet.

I started at EDHL with Flaps in Takeoff-Position, clear Weather and 5kt Head-Wind. With increasing speed it became increasingly difficult to hold the Aircraft in Lane. Then the Aircraft swung extremely to the right and chrashed into the grass of the edge strip. Because I could not believe it i tried it a second time with the same conditions and again - crash.

I tried it without Flaps and i could start like usual.

I love to fly the Turbine Duke and the Saratoga and so my first amateur-impressions are:

	Pos:

I like the cockpit instruments and arrangements (my reason to buy it!)

 Bad brakes

Abbreviations on the Annunciator Panel are blurred and hardly legible

Some Click-Sounds are missing when i operate the Switch with an assigned Key on my Joystick

The Switch-Illumination on the AP is far too garish

 The Speed-Break-Knob is allmost unreachable

Outside-View is to close to the Airplane and distorted

Thats what i noticed so far - so it is not love at first sight...
