Updating Nav Database

Bought Premier 1a at sale price. Started the engines and all I got on the FMC screens was Updating Nav Data. Aircraft idled for like 30 minutes like that and still updating. Is there a correction for that? Thanks.

After take off, the ATC (using radar Contact 4) states that they have not received a squawk from my transponder. Is there anyway to set my transponder or squawk using this aircraft?

I'm guessing our resident guru's like @Bert Pieke and @autogyro have not purchased the Premier yet. I was just wondering has anyone tried to integrate the GTN750 in her yet? I would love to see an integration that keeps the engine gauges where they are (Maybe a button could allow the GTN radio section and the Engine gauges to toggle between the two (shrug)). I think many of us are definitely starting to or have already seen this Proline especially, was not coded very well. To all our guys like Bert, Autogyro @raymar or anyone else with the know how to fix this mess, HHHHHHeeeeeeeeeeeLP!................please :)

SN maybe someone could right a general tutorial for how you get these GTNs to fit in the Carenado Birds...............I never could get the whole coordinate thing in the panel.cfgs It seems like they are different with each aircraft in these sims LOL.........

Repaints on the way

Continuing my streak of masochistic insanity with Carenado repaints...I laid these down quick-and-dirty on top of the "N250EF" scheme, so not 100% accurate to the factory livery but pretty close.

For all the other painters out there: This one's not the worst to repaint because the mapping is mostly straight except for the area-ruled dips in the fuse near the engines. There is one element that is abysmally difficult however... There's a rounded, pipe-looking joint where the wing/body fairing meets the fuselage. It's mapped and broken into many sections on the EXT2 sheet. It's a small part, but unfortunately still too obvious to ignore. I made some notes on the template to help speed up painting that area in the future. If you want to try painting this bird and that seems useful to you, PM me for a copy.

These two were uploaded tonight, and I have another one the way.

I am flying the Premier 1A at the moment and sitting here at 41,000ft I am looking at my right fuel tank which seems to be draining away very quickly. Bith engines are showing the same fuel flow. I've either got a leak or the fuel logic is way off. I fly FSX:SE. As I don't usually fly this aircraft I am curious

Hi! There are NO 4-corners stars on the flightpath on ND display (P3D v 4.5 HF2, WIN 10 x64 PRO 2004).

But as I see on Youtube videos these symbols presenyts in the FSX, Even in documentations with Carenado planes these symbols presents. The same situation also with Hawker, Cessna XLS (ProLine 21)! All fonts are installed.

Approach and Lift Dump

A few quick questions:

1. Can somebody please explain how to properly operate the lift dump system? Is it an automatic (squat switch weight on wheels) type function?

It does the same thing as the speedbrake switch correct or is this the same kind of lift dump that we see on the hawker?

Can its function be assigned to a button via fsuipc?

2. I was on approach to KPHX this evening under APR mode (runway 7L). When the GS centered the aircraft did not capture it (It captured and followed localizer perfectly up until that point). I tried pressing APR again to wake it up at which point the plane veered off the localizer and started diving. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong and why it wouldn't capture the GS?

I've only had this aircraft for a few weeks (on FSX), after a bit of a learning curve I've been doing some successful flights. This last one wasn't so successful, during the flight the landing gear lowered (at about FL370), NAV stopped directing the aircraft (went off course and had to switch NAV off & on to reset), and the autopilot master switched itself off at least five times. At no time when all this happened was I near any of the controls.

Would the problem be the aircraft or FSX?

Carenado has a sale going, so I finally joined the ranks of Beech Premier owners, hey, for $11 I figured I would take the chance (FSX version).

So far I am cautiously okay with the plane, though I haven't flown much yet. One question that I didn't see on this forum yet: The FMS defaults the altitude of all waypoints in a flight plan to FL280, except for the SID and STAR waypoints. Is there a way to override that or change them collectively? Or can I safely ignore those altitudes and just use the altitude window on the autopilot panel? It's just a bit of a drag to always change them one by one.

Does anyone know if the autopilot buttons(switches) are supposed to illuminate when "on"? Without that I have to hover the mouse over the button to see if it is on when pressed and of course refer to the PFD.

Aileron trim goes nuts

Whenever i start the premie 1a and go fly, I can only do so for a certain period of time, until, espacially when disconnecting the autopilot, my plane trims itself to the right and I cant do anything about it.

Sadly after installing the premier, even planes like the cirrus and the da 62 are getting the same issue.

What can I do?

I am using the GTN750 as a popup with the Premier. It worked fine for a week or so, but now the GTN freezes up when I am inputting a flight plan. Initially I would switch to the 650, and it would work OK, but now that freezes up as well. The 750 works fine on all my other aircraft. It's just the Premier that has a problem, which figures because it is now my favorite bizjet.

Any ideas?

Plane in stall

I habe a big problem flying the plane.

While getting to the cruising alt the plane gets into stall. This happens in about FL320. Suddenly the plane will not rise and "hangs" in the air...

I contacted carenado, without effort. I reinstalled the plane.

How to Start Carenado Beechcraft 390 Premier 1A

Does anyone know how to start the Premier 1A instead of using the "test info" window and clicking on the "ready for taxi" button. I'd love to start this plane manually from a cold and dark cockpit but the info that Carenado gives you is pretty vague at best. Any help would be appreciated.
