<p>
	I am finishing up a modification to the Alabeo PA31-350 Navajo Chieftain.  Having considerable experience in Navajos, I can say the Alabeo simulation as well as the Carenado PA31 simulation is quite good.  In fact good enough that I wanted to get them even closer to reality. The PA31-310 will come later.
</p>

<p>
	The mod will work with the default Alabeo G600 or the Flight1 G600.  Panel files are included for both.  The modifications are so extensive that the original release should be considered a beta and users are encouraged to give feedback to help improve future updates.
</p>

<p>
	Highlights are as follows.
</p>

<p>
	1. Completely rebuilt STEC 55X Autopilot.  I have brought it as close to the manufacturer's operating manual as P3D will let me get.  (STEC 55X Manual included).
</p>

<p>
	2. Added an optional King KFC-225 Autopilot.  It is a great deal more sophisticated than the STEC with GA mode and a yaw damper.  I have also completely redone this autopilot to bring it as close to the King KFC-225 operating manual as P3D will let me get. (King manual included.)
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="puFjXPd.png" class="ipsImage" height="562" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" width="1000" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/puFjXPd.png"></p>

<p>
	<img alt="69yuU9r.png" class="ipsImage" height="562" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" width="1000" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/69yuU9r.png"></p>

<p>
	3. Reworked the fuel system to function correctly.  Crossfeed works properly instead of shutting both engines down.  Fuel tanks can be changed without the engine immediately shutting down (provided you turned the fuel pump on per the POH).
</p>

<p>
	4. Reworked the fuel indicating system to function correctly.  Fuel level indicators follow the fuel selector.  If you run an aux tank dry the engine will quit.
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="OOBbljT.jpg" class="ipsImage" height="562" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" width="1000" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OOBbljT.jpg"></p>

<p>
	<img alt="pMIINDP.png" class="ipsImage" height="562" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" width="1000" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pMIINDP.png"></p>

<p>
	5. Corrected the annunciator panel to show main and baggage door ajar warnings.
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="TD599ND.png" class="ipsImage" height="562" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" width="1000" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TD599ND.png"></p>

<p>
	6.   Reworked sound file to operate properly as constant speed props.  Also includes a new optional sound file that I think is scary accurate.
</p>

<p>
	7.  New night panel textures to coincide with a realistic lighting level.
</p>

<p>
	8.  Minor FDE changes to enhance immersion.
</p>

<p>
	9.  Landing gear fix.  There have been instances where the nose and right main landing gear did not extend far enough to lock resulting in collapse on landing even with "3 green" showing.  That is corrected.
</p>

<p>
	10  Optional throttle and prop matching algorithm.  Most don't use it but it's included for those why may have noisy hardware controllers.
</p>

<p>
	There may be some other things that I have forgotten as I have been working on this for a while.  For those who are already on my mailing list there is no need to PM me.  You will receive the mod by email.  For those who are not on my list (you haven't sent me your email address and you haven't received any of my other mods), if you would like to try this one out send me a PM with your email address.  It should be ready in the next couple of days.

	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	G600 doesn't work with Alabeo Chieftain; i have GTN750 and I always have message 'No GPS Position" on G600 MFD.
</p>

<p>
	I tried many times to follow instructions from Flight1 manual (click on continue on GTN750) but nothing change!
</p>

<p>
	Do you have any advice about this problem?
</p>

<p>
	Thank you!

<p>
	G’day all,
</p>

<p>
	ive had this aircraft for a while, and with the mod available for it it’s great. I do however find myself wishing I could fly it with a more traditional analogue gauge cockpit as I don’t know many real chieftains having glass beyond maybe a Garmin 430 or so.
</p>

<p>
	Is it possible to merge the Carenado Navajo VC with the chieftain? I don’t know what panel differences are between the two but surely it wouldn’t be anything dramatic? I don’t currently own the Navajo so I’d like to know if it’s possible before getting it.

<p>
	I did not see a forum for X-Plane and this aircraft so apologies for putting it here...
</p>

<p>
	Not sure this topic was already covered elsewhere, but when flying the Alabeo Piper Chieftain in X-Plane 11, every time I am ready to touch-down on a runway, the aircraft veers left and crashes off the runway. I have tried this at different airports and the same thing happens. Final approach is right on and speed and config just fine during the entire approach. But, when I begin to flare, the aircraft just wants to go off to the left and cartwheel into the grass. I have no problem with this flying the Carenado Navajo or any other Alabeo airplanes. Since the Chieftain is designed for both XPlane 10 and XPlane 11, I am wondering if there is something in the coding causing this.
</p>

<p>
	Anyone else have a similar issue and discovered the cure?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

<div>Hello,</div>
<br /><div>i use a lot of Airplanes in P3D v3.3.5, A2As, PMDGs, Carenados, RealAir and of course Alabeo Saratoga and the new PA31 Chieftain.</div>
<br /><div> </div>
<br /><div>The only Airplane in the hole Fleet that makes the Picture judder is the Chieftain. If i turn the Avionic OFF in the cockpit during flight, the Picture is smooth and everything is ok.</div>
<br /><div> </div>
<br /><div>But if i turn the Avionic back ON in the cockpit, the Screen beginns to judder in a second rythm. There is no pleasure in flight with that stuttering.</div>
<br /><div> </div>
<br /><div>Like i said, this occurs only with the Alabeo Chieftain. Can anyone confirm this problem and is there a solution to solve the problem?</div>
<br /><div> </div>

<br /><div>Kind Regards</div>

<p>
	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	I have the Chieftain with the Flight1 G500/GTN 750 package.
</p>

<p>
	I am trying to figure out the best way to change altitude when in AP Mode - ALT Hold.
</p>

<p>
	At a 4000ft, I set eh ALT selector on the G500 to 3000ft, but the plane does not change altitude to 3000ft. At one point (I think I remember), I set the VS speed and the plane descended to the desired level and the VS mode deactivated to maintain the set altitude. this does not seem to work now as the VS mode stays on beyond the desired level until I manually shut it off.
</p>

<p>
	Also, while in NAV mode along with ALT mode, a "GS" also appeared next to the "ALT" symbol in the autopilot panel, but I don't know what that meant.
</p>

<p>
	Any help would be appreciated.
</p>

	Last week I purchased  PA31 Chieftain. I made  some flights with A/P. No incident.

<p>
	If I fly by hand. There is no way I can hold the plane's altitude. It is up or down. No time even put proper trim to avoid this kind flying.
</p>

<p>
	Some thing is wrong, if you memebers having no problem by hand flying, then problem must be from my side.
</p>

<p>
	What causing this problem ? How can I correct the proper inputs to plane's  controls.

<p>
	I'm looking for comments on the accuracy of the EGT gauge for the Chieftain. Like other Alabeo/Carenado products, I suspect the EGT may be on "light" side, meaning the temps don't reach the levels as in real world. For example, POH limitations call for a minimum of 1350 F during descent, however, I find it necessary to add considerable power from cruise and reduce VS to remain within limits. In short, I am unable get anywhere close to the max of 1650 F, regardless of power settings.
</p>

<p>
	If the EGT does require modification for accuracy, I've only been able to locate any reference in the .MDL file and nothing in Gauges, aircraft.cfg or .air file. Any suggestions are welcomed.

<p>Now we have the Carenado Navajo 310 (C model) and alabeo Navajo Chieftain, here in avsim Carenado forum a pilot make a great review of the point of view by the pilot and the most important it's that the review leave clear that the Carenado Navajo have the system and flight dynamics correctly, making the Carenado Navajo one of the best pistons along with the Shrike Commander. </p>
<p>My question it's if the alabeo Chieftain have the same level of the Carenado Navajo speaking in the flight dynamics... It's the same panel with the difference that have a avionics more update (I prefer the analogue (....... So the pilots of Navajo that have leave their opinion here can compare this two beautiful navajos...... </p>
