[2024] PMDG 737 - AviaCDU on ipad black screen

I have opened a support mail/ticket but no response so far. Thats why i post here.

Using AviaCDU since years with MSFS2020 with the PMDG 737. Now with MSFS2024 and the 737-800 i cant get it to work. Avia Server (last version) is running, connection is there, buttons work - but the screen is staying black (so the CDU is displayed, but with a black screen inside it). Tried with two different ipads. Browser is Safari.

Edit: Happens with the 777 CDU, too.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to reinstall AviaCDU (downloaded from SimMarket) to use it with FS2024&PMDG737, and when I run it, Windows 11 tells me the file has a virus (Trojan:Win32/Pomal!rfn) and deletes it. False positive?

PMDG 777 under MSFS2024

Hi folks,

a number of you have reported that aviaCDU and aviaOverhead for the 777 was not working correctly under MSFS2024.

Indeed the root cause was that the .ini file was not located in the correct directory and as a result, the required databroadcasting flags were not set correctly.

This has been fixed in aviaServer 2024 version 1.1 which is now available as an auto-update (run aviaServer2024 once to download the update in the background).

In the meantime, I've also received feedback from PMDG directly that under certain circumstances the 777's ini file is overwritten by the aircraft itself, potentially removing the required databroadcasting flags.

I've personally not seen this but if you see this issue happening, it will render aviaCDU / aviaOverhead useless as the aircraft will stop sending data. PMDG have reassured me that they are looking into this and there will be a fix in the near future.

Unfortunately, there is not much I can do about this as I rely on the aircraft broadcasting the required information for aviaServer to display it.

But as mentioned, this issue doesn't seem to affect everyone so hopefully you won't be either.

aviaOverheadClient doesn't scale

I want to use the aviaOverhead on a monitor with native resolution 1600x900 that is connected to the sim PC. However, the aviaOverhead seems to be in square format and scaling the window doesn't scale the panel which leaves me with a lot of black background on my monitor. I must be possible to make the panel fit the monitor aspect ratio even if it comes at the price of a certain distortion. I also want to get rid of the ridiculously unrealistic sun, moon and gear icons which are used to toggle day/night-mode and settings. I realised that in the settings of the aviaOverheadClient one can disable FULLSCREEN and set custom Window Location and Size. However, these value only change the dimensions of the window that contains the panel and not the panel itself. I just want the panel to cover my whole monitor without wasting space. That must be possible somehow. Draci

I have been a customer for 10 years now. I have license files for the PMDG 737 and 777. I see no way of enabling them. Are they no longer supported? Or do I have to buy new licenses?

AviaFlightMonitor not recognizing correct landing runway

Is it possible to change the runway somehow or why does it recognize the wrong runway? Also if i am not wrong, at gatwick 26R is really not used for landing or take offs. For some reason i cannot upload images, so i cannot provide proof. But i saw an earlier post from 2022 that also had this issue at gatwick

Hi Support,

Would like to report a issue which the AviaFlightMonitor seem not able to get aileron, elevator data. Both aileron, elevator remain 0 in all landing report.

Attached 2 of the landing report for your reference.

The VHHH one is using WinWing Ursa Minor + honeycomb bravo + winwing orion 2 rudder pedals with Fenix a321 in MSFS2024.

The RJBB one is using honeycomb alpha + honeycomb bravo + winwing orion 2 rudder pedals with PMDG 777-300ER in MSFS2024.

AviaFlightMonitor won't recognize WinWing Ursa Minor axis

Hi,

I can't get Avia Flight Monitor to recognize/record my X/Y-Axis inputs on my WinWing Ursa Minor stick (no curves on the analysis graphs). Worked well with my Warthhog but it won't record with the new stick. It's showing in the settings menu but it won't record nonetheless.
Auto-Detect didn't work either. Any suggestions?

as many of you may be aware, iFly has released a preview version of the 737 MAX for MSFS 2024.

As of now, key inputs are not working correctly. This is under investigation and will probably need a week or so to get resolved - I am currently waiting for feedback from the iFly team.

Suddenly, last week, my Aviaworx PMDG 737 CDU does not respond. I have sent the CDULOG file to support@aviaworx.com but I have had no reply. Anybody else with the same problem?

Display shows correct screens, I hear also "key clicks" pressing one, but nothing happens in the VC.

Avia server sudenly wont start

Yesterday sudenly avia server just stop working, i try q load it but it does nothing, no error messages, no icon on the tray, and off course no conection with my tablet.
i´ve unistalled, cleared his folder and intalled the lateste version wih no succes. no diference if i run it as admin or not..

i´ve added a new GPU to my rig, but not sure if it can be related.
im on Windows 10LTSC, I7-4790k, 24gb ram, with a Geforce 970 and a recently added Geforce 3080.

AVIA 737 OVERHEAD Backlight Dim w/ MobiFlight

I use the AVIA 737 Overhead and it works great. I can dim the backlighting via right clicking on the knob, but I am trying to associate it with a knob on my Honeycomb Bravo Throttle. I have successfully linked the APU and outside lights via Mobiflight but cannot get the overhead backlighting to work. I have Mobiflight programed and the lighting works on the MSFS 2020 sim screen, but not on the AVIA Overhead screen. Has anyone been able to accomplish this? If so, how?

Avia Server IP wont connect

I have used AviaServer for several years and it Worked great.... Until.....

My PC Update Windows to 24H2 in December. After that I have lost the ability to access the web pages from outside my PC )Laptops, Ipads, Iphones, Fire tablets etc. All inside my network on the same subnet as the PC.

Both with the old version and the 2024 version.

Server returns Connection Refuse
Things I've tried: I have disabled all firewalls and security, uninstall and reinstall AviaServer, Uninstall and reinstall .Net, configure many variations of firewall rules, and more. Set special routes on my network DNS. (I have my own network and am not relying on a service provider for DNS, NAT, etc.)

I can connect on the PC with \\Localhost or 127.0.0.1

I have many other flight sim apps that do not have this problem. Including direct browser links to FBW and Fenix. and connections through Space Desk.

There is obviously something wrong with the port or internal routing for AviaServer. But I can't seem to figure it out.

Any thoughts?
