Hi all, somehow on P3D5.1 VS mode seems to not work. I have flown the Carenado Pipers on MSFS and this one has the same autopilot as those but the VS mode doesn't work the same. AP engaged, NAV being followed, once I GET to altitude, ALT hold works too, but if once I am in hold I press VS and adjust the numbers to say... +10, it's not climbing. -10? Not descending. Have to hand-fly descents. Any insight?

Does the Mirage have a DME readout? Read in a review it lacks one and they are sort of useful for procedures

	Hey,

So I recently purchased the Carenado PA46 JetPROP, (I know it’s old) and for some reason early in the flight sometimes even when still on the ground the Autopilot and GPS530 seems to “trip” and needs to be reset. Also when this happens the stall warning light comes on and stays on for the rest of the flight. Anyone figured out what this is? By the way I’m running it on FSX SE. any help would be great thanks!

	Hello everybody,

I have done a quick and simple intergation of the Flight 1 GTN750 into the GNS530 bezel. It is not perfect, and the display lost its quality due to the compressed size, but better than nothing at least for me :)

You can bring a up the GTN750 2D popup panel by pressing Shift+7 for better controllability and the 'Direct To' Button.

If you have an idea to make it even better, don't hesitate :)

Just replace your Panel.cfg with the following lines, but don't forget to back it up first!!

	Have fun and happy Landings

	Hi all,

Flying a lot with the Mirage those days in v4. What I realized when flying in NZ for example: at startup (cold & dark), the compass card of the middle HSI is aligned and shows the correct bearing. However, after some flying, it gets more and more misaligned (I guess that's a correct behaviour). How can I adjust it? I am not able to find the clickspot for it... It is a little bit cumbersome to calculate the offset all the time...

I have P3Dv4 and I've had an issue with the autopilot, where I cannot preselect the altitude for alt hold. There is a gauge at the top of the screen that seems to be meant for setting alt and heading, but when I click on those buttons nothing happens. Was this gauge meant to be inoperative, if anyone might know?

I can select V/S in the main autopilot gauge.

Got my Mirage out of the hangar recently for a flight, but as already earlier, I did not manage to get the cabin pressurization to work. I somehow always mix up things, and sadly, I am unable to find the correct procedure in the manuals. Could someone write down a little "how to" for me? What do I have to do in which consecutive order to have the cabin pressurized? Thanks for any help.

Hi everyone:

Has anyone experienced crashes when trying to load this plane into the scenario? However, If you able to get it flying, P3D will crash at any point.

I did a clean installation of P3D V3.2 along with the Carenado PA46 Malibu. No problems were shown during the installation.

Tried to contact Carenado Support but it is worthless, no one would get back to me. Also, tried Carenado's support patches area and none seem to be available for this P3D model (only one for FSX and it is related to something else).

Any ideas that may help out...I would really hate to ditch this fantastic model just because it makes P3D crash at start up!

Thanks for you help,

Hi all,

Having recently built a decent rig to run a flightsim, I reinstalled the PA-46 350, which has turned out to be my favorite GA plane. Despite the few bugs and limitations, I love flying long distance as well as sight seeing.

My next goal is to implement Gregg's set of Linda commands, integrate the nice ASN weather radar made by Roland, improve sounds and build a good looking overhead panel - and maybe the system panel as well. So expect me to post a few remarks and questions in the near future.

As a first, I'd like to share a config file for FS labs' nifty Spotlight app. If you haven't heard about it yet, it's a payware add-on which allows you set up to 20 light sources, with control over position, orientation, intensity, color... the demo version only works at LGAV, but you can get an idea from that.

This solves a major annoyance for me, in the mirage as well as many aircraft. You set-up a cold and dark scenario on a moonless night, and find yourself groping for the battery switch and the dome light. Not anymore, you can have a virtual flashlight (or 3) pointing at the crucial places before powering up the ac. Many more uses for cockpit and cabin lighting.

Here goes, I put a link to the FSL forums, because I'm such a lazy guy

Enjoy and let me know what you think

Hi guys,

just bought another beautiful Carenado Aircraft, and the Carenado Team never fails to amaze me.

How can a Team of obviously talented designers come up with such a nice Airframe, Lighting and Animations, but always disappoint when it comes to avionics?

I mean really Carenado? TWO Transponders, but no DME? Are you f*$%ing kidding me?

Then as usual I only get the darn moving card ADF - I expected as much, but the ADF is not working at all. I get the clickspots, but can't change frequencies...

Last but not least: RXP.

I have only the RXP430, and I was initially pleased that Carenado had .exe's prepared that allow the installation of every rxp combination possible.

But now I only have 1 COM/NAV Frequency. Both GPS, the "Carenado"/default GNS530 and the RXP430 both tune the same (NAV1/COM1) Radio!

While the PA46 was not overly expensive, I would have expected full IFR capability - as I have in the reallife Mirage.

Hi

I would like to know if there´s a solution to this.

When I fly the PA46 Malibu with the original aircraft and airfile, everything works, but I find the AC to be very dull.

When using the optional patch (Stolle), the AC is a lot nicer, but the altimeter doesnt work. Kind of weird IMO.

I assume that this is intentional to model what would happen under icing conditions, however having all of the aircrafts ant-icing systems engaged makes no difference. I like to fly real world weather and as we're in winter I'm unable to climb to 6000ft without the engine starting to die, in a recent flight I had to drop down to below 1000ft before the OAT increased sufficiently to allow the engine to regain power. Does anyone have a solution, preferably one that will fix the anti-icing systems?

Shift + 3

Hi all.

I can't seem to get my Windows Manager to work by pressing Shift + 3.

I am in a Cold and Dark environment so I meet all the criteria. I think it must be a mapping issue. I do have EzDok V1.8 installed, and I am wondering if it is this that is causing the error? I have noticed that none of my Carenado (number) Shift maps seem to be working, although I can open and close the doors with Shift + E. It seems to be just the numbered ones.

Has anyone experienced this before? Has anyone a solution?

Any help would be appreciated. If you need any more info please ask.

Thank, Chris.

PS. I did do a browser and forum search for this issue but came up short of any answers. I have not yet sent a support ticket as I wanted to check here first.

my only other carenado is the 337, santa got me the mirage mainly because:

supports rxp 530 + 430 integration, not rxp unlimited

steam gauges, not half-baked fps hog g1000 (tried f1 b200 a while ago and it wasn't good)

simple wx gauge, not carenado's avidyne

usual gorgeous mdl, textures

very impressed with the mirage. flies well and avionics are smooth and hd clear. read about the sound complaints here so may consider addon sound later.

considered their new pc12 but don't have the rxp unlimited so didn't want one blank screen or use the default '530' as it's a buzzkill.

when the new saratoga is on sale, may pick that one up as well.

Is that from the turbo? Obviously never been in a plane like this so expected more of a "hefty" sounding engine noise in the cockpit.
