This mod replaces the original autopilot supplied with the model.

The autopilot is loosely based on the Bendix-King KAP150 autopilot, KAS297 altitude alerter and KA315 annunciator.
(manual from http://www.bendixking.com/HWL/media/PDF/PilotsGuides/PG-KAP150.pdf )

The autopilot provides a default pitch mode (no VS) as well as a CWS (control wheel steering) system linked to the brake key (keyboard . or joystick button). While the key is pressed, the autopilot is disabled allowing the plane to be flown manually, when it is released the pitch attitude is held and the previous modes restored.

The altitude alerter now works realistically (ie. independently of the autopilot) and also provides a warning sound.

Picked up the V35B during the recent sale and apparently Bernt did a modified FDE for it. Unfortunately, as someone else mentioned it is no longer available at Carenado.

I don't expect to do a lot of flying in this aircraft, but would like it to be as accurate as possible when I do. Any ideas where I can find a copy?

I am having issues with the FSX version of the V35B. The flight dynamics are way off compared to real world (I fly a '67 V35) and also compared to the FS9 version. Here are the numbers that I am seeing when flying the FS9 vs FSX versions:

FS9
10 gph max (regardless of mixture)
0 C OAT
138 knots IAS
12000'
0 wind
165 knot GS

FSX
9.1 gph max (regardless of mixture)
0 C OAT
115 knots IAS
12000'
6 knot tailwind
154 knot GS

The FS9 version is close to spot in with the real world V35. The only exception being that I can enrichen the mixture and burn up to 15+ gph.

Curious what others were getting with the FSX version of this plane.

Hi

I just purchased this beautiful aircraft in the ongoing sale. I am having a problem with the GNS 430: the inner/outer knobs do not seem to work. I try to turn them to change pages and nothing happens. The Direct To button seems to work; however, after I get the Direct To screen and attempt to dial in the airport code - using the inner/outer knobs - nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions how to correct it?

Hi,

I am just learning about the V35B and have some difficulties following the checklists. Specifically, it appears that the checklist is close to that of the real plane but not all items are implemented in FSX. For instance, I couldn't find the control lock or the static pressure button. Is there a list of items that are not implemented?

I recently bought the V35 Bonanza. FSX kept crashing when I would start the engines with the primer. So I installed the patch and all was fine.

I have a bigger problem. I can't click anything in the VC and sometimes I get the double gauges problem where you see two of everything and each gauge is compressed very badly. It is quite annoying. I tried disabling 3D knobs and windows. What else can I do?

Even the GNS 430 won't come on when I turn it on through the 2D window from shift+2. It is as if all buttons are frozen. The main gauges work though.

For instance, the original Aircraft.cfg file is 17kbs. The new one is only 5kbs. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but it doesn't change when I copy/paste or try to drag it in from the download patch file.Any ideas???I'm wondering if my cd has the patched version already. I had read somewhere where if there is a typ-O on one of the doors warning stickers that it is the unpatched version.
Good morning,

For some obscure reason, I cannot start the V35B from cold and dark.

I have tried every trick in the book in know off but without succes.

- Battery is on,

- Fueltank selected (both or middle position)

- aux fuelpump running

- mixture full rich

When I turn the ignition, starter engine comes to live but dies after 2 turns of the propellor.

So I tried loading the aircraft in the freeflight screen, I have tried to load a default cessna (running engine) and switching to the Bonanza once the flight has loaded, I have tried the default cessna with no engine running... It all results in the same situation. Once I cut the engine of the Bonanza, there is one one way to get it running again and that is CTL+E

All help appreciated

Just being cautious here....

I've downloaded Bernt Stolle's patch from the Carendo Support page. As you'd expect the zip file unpacks to two separate folders - one for the regular aircraft and one for the tip tank version. Each mod folder contains an aircraft.cfg file (to replace the original) and an air file (called V35_ng.air). My question is:

Should I remove the original air file (called Carenado_V35.air) or leave both air files in the V35's airplane folder?

FYI, my reason for wanting to install the patch is in the hope that it will address the aircrafts rather agressive/difficult handling on landing. I've not read any reviews on this particular mod - just heard about Bernt Stolle's excellent reputation for mods of this type. Would be interested in hearing views on how the mod performs.

Thanks,

I have increased the size of my pop-up G430, mapped all the cursor hot-spots and now have it working pretty much ok. However the two map pages are very small and do not display clearly in the default dark blue colours (even on the larger pop-up verson).

I was wondering if there was any way that the map colours could be toggled to display lighter colours (as with the TERR button on the G500) - perhaps using an already available feature that I've missed or by by applying a cfg tweak maybe?

I was also wondering if it was possible to hide either the (left hand side) coms/nav frequencies window or the WPT window on the right (this later option is possible in other implementations) to give a larger map window?

Could someone point me in the right direction?2) In Cockpit view, when cycling through the respective subviews with the "A" key, I noticed that the subview for the radio/nav stack is 'dead'. That is, I am unable to activate or operate any of the instruments unless I switch to the primary VC view, and zoom into the radio stack from there. There seem to be no 'live' spots when in the specific, cycled cockpit subview of the radio stack/gps.Has anyone else experienced these two items, or would you recommend a reinstall to correct these two issues? Thanks a bunch!
