The current Mooney version will not capture the glideslope for GPS approaches with the G1000 while the provided Cirrus SR22 does. It would be great if the Mooney was updated so the glideslope would capture.

Hello. Just purchased the M20J for use with the latest version of X-Plane 11 and I cannot get the starter to turn. Mouse over the starter shows 2 curved arrows pointing down, one to the left and one to right. No combination of clicks or anything are able to get the starter to turn. Master switch is on. What am I missing?

	Thanks.

I just installed X Plane 11 and added the M20J. The problem I have is that the pilot blocks my view. In the default view, it's like I'm inside his head, If I move further back I'm behind his head and that blocks my view. If I'm looking down at the trim and flap indicators, his hand on the throttle blocks my view of them. Is there a way to make him invisible?

	Thanks,

	Steve

When I got into XP about a year ago, I saw a post that said Carenado was planning on doing updates to the existing fleet as time passed. Is this still in the works at all? The Mooney is easily my favorite GA, and it could probably use a little TLC for XP11.

Win 7 64bit, XPlane 10.45, Mooney 3.2 (applies to 2.1 too), before and after a complete Win+XP fresh install.

1:

Is there no speedlimit for gear and flap extraction or doesn't it work in my case? I can speed up to the yellow arch and operate them and I get no failures, they work visually and they also do their job while landing after the testflight. If I fly wildly (without flaps and gear), I get structure over-g (or something like that) and the plane breaks so obviously it knows when to give up - at least on that case. Also the settings in X-Plane should be ok because for example the stock Cessna fails the flaps if overspeeding.

2:
The autopilot ALT, I don't get it. If I press ALT, maybe once in 20 tries I get the current altitude on the AP display and it will hold it (that's the way I understand it should work). Usually the ALT button just lights up and and I can more or less keep the altitude by setting v/s to 000, yet it doesn't hold the altitude as accurately as when it does when I get the correct alitude reading in the AP display. Something wrong with it or is it just me? Doesn't matter if I press AP+ALT or only ALT (which also lights up the AP).

3:

The feature request. From what I've read, many Mooneys have speedbrakes installed, maybe we could have some too?

Other than these things, I think it's the best thing for me at this time. Learned the basics with the stock Cessna, now I've had the Mooney for a few months and the PC-12 will be up next when I think I've done with this.

Pitot heating is ON (and stay ON all the flight). After about 30 minutes to 1 hour of flight, with the A/P engaged (HDG and ALT), this avionic starts to work erratically. First, it doesn't keep the pressure altitude it was supposed to hold (it diverges from the altimeter a lot). The difference increases as time passes. In addition, the A/P doesn't respond correctly to V/S settings. I becomes more erratic as time passes. So bad that it becomes impossible to fly with the A/P engaged, so I turn it off. After more 30 minutes of manual flight, the gran finale: all the electrical system fail. All avionics turn off. I can't even down the landing gear and flaps. I restarted XP and repeated the flight. Same thing. I changed to another GA aircraft and repeated the flight: all ok. Yes, only happening with this plane. I've checked all XP default planes and add-ons. The problem is with the Mooney for sure. Even reseting failures on XP menu to none (no failure), after the failure, doesn't help. The electrical system stays dead. Only restarting XP or reloading the plane fix the problem. Important note: XP failures are all set to OFF along the simulation.I'm running X-plane 9.61. Also happens with 9.60Any idea?

MOONEY M20J X-PLANE RELEASED

Today we released our first X-Plane aircraft.
